Aplicación y características
Los cables de 8KV de Southwire son adecuados para usar en áreas húmedas y secas, tubos conduit, conductos, canaletas, charolas portacables, enterramiento directo cuando se instalan con un conductor de puesta a tierra en proximidad cercana que cumple con la sección NEC 311.36 y 250.4(A)(5), y donde se desean propiedades eléctricas superiores. Estos cables son capaces de operar continuamente a una temperatura del conductor que no exceda 105°C para operación normal, 140°C para sobrecarga de emergencia, y 250°C para condiciones de cortocircuito. Clasificado a -35°C para flexión en frío cuando se lista UL. Clasificado a -25°C para flexión en frío e impacto en frío y marcado con "LTDD" cuando se lista CSA o se lista de manera dual UL/CSA. La cubierta PVC se fabrica con tecnología SIM y tiene un coeficiente de fricción COF de 0.2. El cable puede instalarse en tubo conduit sin la necesidad de lubricante. Clasificado para una presión lateral máxima de 1000 lbs./FT.
