Milbank UC3433-XL is a current-transformer-rated (CT) meter socket from the Milbank CT20 product family, listed under enclosures and meter sockets. It is a 13-terminal socket rated 20 amps continuous on the meter side, built with a small closing plate and a welded-in ground stud and a test switch provision, and configured for 3-phase service. A CT-rated socket like this does not carry the full service current through the meter itself; instead it is paired with external current transformers that step the primary service current down to a level the meter and its 13-terminal jaws can handle, which is why it accepts a smaller 12 to 10 AWG secondary wire range on both line and load rather than heavy service conductors. This arrangement is used on higher-amperage commercial services where a self-contained meter socket is not practical. The enclosure is built from G90 galvanized steel with a powder coat finish, insulated with glass polyester, is UL Listed and rated Type 3R for outdoor use, carries a 600 volt AC insulation rating, and is surface mounted with overhead or underground cable entry.
