The Intermatic RC6F is a 1 1/2 inch air button built with a fiberglass construction, and has a stated range of 100 feet. Like other air buttons in this Intermatic line, it is the deck-mounted push-button that sends a pneumatic signal through air tubing to a control unit or air switch mechanism. Pool and spa contractors install the fiberglass RC6F where a fiberglass pool deck or coping calls for a button matched to that surface, as opposed to the gunite-specific RC4G offered elsewhere in this line. The 100 foot range indicates how far the pneumatic signal can travel through connected tubing to reliably operate the equipment end of the system. The RC6F is meant to be paired with Intermatic air tubing, such as the RC117 or RC150, and an air switch mechanism, to complete the pneumatic push-button control path for pool or spa equipment.
