The Intermatic RC-LRS1-WH is a long-range wireless switch finished in white. It is built to control connected loads wirelessly over an extended range compared to standard short-range wireless switches, as part of Intermatic's smart home wiring device offerings. Electricians installing residential wireless lighting or load control use a switch like the RC-LRS1-WH where a wired connection between the switch location and the load is impractical, and where the distance between the switch and the receiver exceeds what a typical short-range wireless device can reliably cover. Its white finish matches common wiring device trim colors for a standard residential installation. The RC-LRS1-WH is part of the same Intermatic smart home product family as the paired remote-control and receiver models in this line, and it is intended to be installed alongside a compatible receiver or load-control device to complete a wireless switching setup.
