The Intermatic PJBX52100 is a pool and spa junction box built for 5-light connections that also incorporates a 100 W transformer. Combining the junction box and transformer into one enclosure lets a contractor make lighting circuit connections and step down voltage for the fixtures at the same physical location. This combination unit is used by electricians and pool contractors on lighting installations where up to five fixtures are fed from a single point and where a 100 W transformer is needed to supply those fixtures. Housing both functions together reduces the number of separate enclosures needed on the job compared to running a standalone junction box and a separate transformer. As part of the Intermatic pool and spa lighting product line, the PJBX52100 is meant to be installed as the combined connection and power point for a multi-light pool or spa circuit, alongside the fixtures it feeds.
