The Intermatic IOS-HB-U is a commercial grade PIR occupancy sensor built for high bay ceiling mount installation. It uses passive infrared detection to sense occupancy from elevated mounting heights typical of warehouses and industrial spaces. Electricians install high bay sensors like the IOS-HB-U in warehouses, distribution centers, and industrial facilities with high ceilings, where standard ceiling sensors are not designed to reliably detect motion from the mounting height involved. The sensor is used to automatically control high bay lighting fixtures for occupancy-based energy savings.
