Intermatic FF312HH is a spring-wound countdown timer switch, commercial grade, rated 125-277 VAC at 50/60 Hz, single-pole, double-throw (SPDT), with a 12-hour maximum countdown and built with hold, finished in silver. Electricians and contractors install this timer switch in place of a standard wall switch to automatically shut off a connected load, such as a bathroom exhaust fan, heat lamp, or other fixture, after a set interval instead of leaving it running indefinitely. The hold function on this model allows the switch to also be held on continuously, in addition to running the spring-wound countdown. The mechanism is wound by hand to the desired setting and counts back down mechanically, switching the load off at the end of the interval. Its single-pole, double-throw contact arrangement allows the timer to control a single-pole load with a switched-over contact.
