Intermatic FD46HW is a spring-wound countdown timer switch, decorator style, rated 125-277 VAC at 50/60 Hz, double-pole, single-throw (DPST), with a 6-hour maximum countdown and built without hold, finished in white. Electricians and contractors install this timer switch in place of a standard wall switch to automatically shut off a connected load, such as a bathroom exhaust fan, heat lamp, or other fixture, after a set interval instead of leaving it running indefinitely. The mechanism is wound by hand to the desired setting and counts back down mechanically, switching the load off at the end of the interval. Its double-pole, single-throw contact arrangement switches two poles together from a single timer action.
