Intermatic FD30MHW is a spring-wound countdown timer switch, decorator style, rated 125-277 VAC at 50/60 Hz, single-pole, single-throw (SPST), with a 30-minute maximum countdown and built with hold, finished in white. Electricians and contractors install this timer switch in place of a standard wall switch to automatically shut off a connected load, such as a bathroom exhaust fan, heat lamp, or other fixture, after a set interval instead of leaving it running indefinitely. The hold function on this model allows the switch to also be held on continuously, in addition to running the spring-wound countdown. The mechanism is wound by hand to the desired setting and counts back down mechanically, switching the load off at the end of the interval. Its single-pole, single-throw contact simply makes or breaks a single circuit conductor.
