The Intermatic E200 is an outdoor enclosure, described in vendor data as a Case-Outdoor, Type 3R Plastic, Gray. A Type 3R rating indicates the case is built to shed rain and resist ice formation, which suits it to housing a time switch or similar control mounted outside or in another location exposed to the weather. An electrician would use the E200 to protect the internal timer mechanism and wiring terminals from the elements while still allowing outdoor access for programming or service. The E200 is molded in gray plastic and is stocked as an each within Intermatic's time switch enclosure offering.
