The Intermatic DT200LT is a Digital Astronomic Landscape Timer supplied in a plug-in form factor. An astronomic timer calculates local sunrise and sunset times and adjusts its on-off schedule automatically through the year, which is well suited to controlling landscape and outdoor lighting without the homeowner or electrician having to reset a schedule as daylight hours change with the seasons. Because it is a plug-in timer, it is installed between an outdoor receptacle and the connected lighting load rather than hardwired into the circuit.
